To kick off The Legend Series celebration, SeaVees partnered with renowned surfboard shaper, Reynolds "Renny" Yater. In the summer of 1964, the same year SeaVees was originally founded, Yater honed his talent to carve out the original Yater Spoon.
Kosh (the legend) and Meyer (the-legend-in-the-making) engaged in "a chess match of styles" to create their unique view of California. Kosh dusted off his doodles he did for the Hotel California album from 1976. That became the font of choice.
